The Direct Enrollment Program

For the students who would like to obtain a certificate offered in Spanish by a Dominican university or to major in Spanish to obtain a certificate of the DELE, who awards credits for having completed the course of Spanish as a second language, it is recommended to have completed at least 4 semesters of Spanish at the undergraduate level, including a semester of Spanish at the advanced level or the equivalent of one. The students must have the ability to speak and to write in Spanish and they will be able to register directly to one of the universities and can choose the same courses that are offered to the Dominican students.

Direct registration dates will follow the same dates as the ones of the hosting university that the student attends.

Those students whose home institution will accept credit earned for classes completed in the Dominican Republic may register through the IERC website. This can be arranged through a consortium agreement of the home institution, the IERC, and the university that the student will attend in the Dominican Republic.
