Academics Components

You may be expected to register for a full-time load, usually 15 credits per semester and 6-9 credits for the summer. During the academic year, additional credits may be earned for coursework above this load. Internships are included in this total number. The number of credits earned for an internship will vary depending upon its structure and the amount of time it requires.

Financial AID

Students who are currently enrolled at a college or university must apply for financial aid to study abroad at their home institution. You will be eligible for the amount you need to study abroad and must present a study abroad cost breakdown to the financial aid advisor.

The faculty of the IERC coordinates courses and internships with diverse undergraduate faculties from various departments in over thirty U.S. universities.
 
The IERC
plans short visits to the Dominican Republic for the faculties of participating institutions, in order to help that the faculty of the institution can experience first hand, with the faculty of the IERC, the development of the study abroad program. The faculties of visiting institutions can also visit agencies and companies in the Dominican.
