Collaboration Between Faculties

The faculty of the IERC coordinates courses and internships with diverse undergraduate faculties from various departments in over thirty U.S. universities.

The IERC plans short visits to the Dominican Republic for the faculties of participating institutions, in order to help that the faculty of the institution can experience first hand, with the faculty of the IERC, the development of the study abroad program. The faculties of visiting institutions can also visit agencies and companies in the Dominican
Republic and can participate in workshops sponsored by the IERC, in order to develop an internship curriculum and specific programs for independent research.

The workshops of the IERC increase the concerns of studying abroad
by:

a) Clarifying goals, (i.e. what is to be learned); and,

b) Establish a criterion of performance, (i.e. the students must present/display how they have reached their goals.)

c) Continuing the dialogue between the IERC and the university faculty, in order to stay up to date with the current necessities and international and educative changes.
